Student's Experience

This silent demonstration video follows a new student using the custom Learning Management System (LMS) for the first time. The student is introduced to their Student Portal, where they can view courses, track progress, and build a portfolio of completed work.

The student begins a course titled “Team Collaboration Fundamentals.” The first lesson is a short silent video showing a group of coworkers gathered around a table reviewing documents and discussing a project together.

The second lesson is an interactive question-and-answer activity built using a custom form builder developed specifically for this platform. The form automatically saves the student’s progress while they work.

The third lesson is another silent demonstration video titled “Navigating Team Challenges.” The video shows a woman working with teammates at a whiteboard while receiving feedback and updating project ideas.

After completing the course, the student sees all lessons marked as complete and returns to the Student Portal. The portal updates to reflect the student’s completed course progress. The student is then able to view and download a custom-generated PDF containing their activity responses. The platform also includes the ability for students to download a full portfolio containing completed lesson PDFs as they continue progressing through courses.

Our work assists Celebrate EDU to help users with learning disabilities develop entrepreneurship skills and start their own businesses.

Celebrate EDU is a Colorado non-profit providing entrepreneurship education to individuals with disabilities. Through years of testing and innovation, they have curated a proprietary curriculum that has proven to help users get jobs or start businesses.

Now, they are in need of a new Learning Management System (LMS) for their students to have easier access to online entrepreneurship education.

Since their curriculum adapts to being user-centric and school-specific, they've naturally outgrown their more rigid WordPress LearnDash LMS implementation. One issue they started encountering was LearnDash doesn't allow you to re-use one lesson or section across multiple courses. So they had to duplicate lessons to enable multiple schools to use them slightly differently.

They needed something more customizable and - since we love a good challenge - we're happy to make that happen for them.

Instructor's Experience

This silent demonstration video follows a course instructor reviewing the progress of a student named Kendra Stevenson within the custom Learning Management System (LMS). The instructor views Kendra’s completed “Collaboration Scenarios” lesson and opens a generated PDF containing the student’s submitted activity responses.

After reviewing the student’s work, the instructor decides to make updates to the course content to gather more detailed responses from future students. The instructor navigates to the custom LMS backend and adds a new lesson to the course.

Next, the instructor opens the “Collaboration Scenarios” lesson and edits the activity using the custom form builder designed and developed for the platform. The instructor updates the communication question by adding new response options, including Google Docs, Video Calls, and Through My Boss.

The instructor also updates the final written response question from “What challenges might come up and how will you handle them?” to “Name two challenges that might come up and how you will handle them.”

Finally, the instructor reviews the updated lesson from the student-facing frontend experience to confirm that the form changes display correctly for students.

LMS Development

We've taken the best of their current LMS and given it a makeover, crafting a student-friendly user journey. Furthermore, we've engineered a flexible custom data system, moving away from the limitations imposed by their previous Wordpress integration. Our ultimate objective is to establish a streamlined SaaS structure, allowing schools to conveniently enroll on a recurring basis as per their needs.

User Testing

By custom building an MVP for them to beta test with a real classroom of students who have previously taken the courses, this allows the students to give us input into their needs. Once we receive the user-testing results we will continue building out the remaining features needed to launch this new SaaS platform.
